I. Properties and feature

Natural bitumen from XUAR of PRC is the main raw material of this product. It is obtained through surfactant addition after modification, with high asphalt content, high softening point (80～180℃), good anti-collapse, compaction and filtration loss reduction effect, and is adapted to deep and ultra-deep wells. This product meets the needs of users, has a broad market prospect, and has the following characteristics:

1. Peculiar blocking feature: when block fall or collapse affects the safety of the well during drilling, adding this product, using its unique blocking ability, increases the stability of the well wall, keeps the borehole open, reduces block fall and collapse, and alleviates the difficult situation in the well.

2. Good water loss reduction function: asphalt particles in KH-n are deformable plastic particles, which can make the mud cake dense and flexible, the effect of reducing water loss is very obvious, and it can prevent free water from entering the mud layer; in addition, the mud cake is smooth and flexible, which prevents the instability of the well wall and improves the safety of the well.

3. Small influence on the rheological property of drilling mud: after the addition of this product from 1% to 5% in high density drilling muds, the added viscosity value of the liquid phase is less than 1%, the influence on the viscosity and rheological property is small.

4. Oil and gas protection functionality: the fineness of this product is not less than 120mesh, its granules are fine, when the oil layer section of drilling operation added to the drilling mud, it can quickly form a soft ionic protective layer at the well wall, the mud cake is dense, smooth, flexible, high strength, with good blocking, wall protection, wall stabilisation role of the well, to reduce the filtrate in the drilling fluid and solid phase formation of further penetration, to avoid mud and other poor quality solids.

5. This product is produced through high temperature modification of Xinjiang bitumen as the main raw material. The appearance is solid powder, its bitumen content is high, and the effect is powerful. The softening temperature is from 80 to 180°C, and the product is obtained after high temperature of 300°C. This product does not contain hydrocarbons, and does not affect the gas carotage. In Moshen 1 well and Luntan 1 well, this product has been successfully applied and obtained great success.
