I. Properties and specificity

Sulfated mud asphalt is a sulfonate of petroleum bitumen, more resistant to high temperature, calcium, has good compatibility with various mud systems, has moderate water-soluble and oil-soluble properties, can block the micro-cracks of well wall, stick to the walls and form thin and elastic crusts on the well wall. Thus, it can improve wall formation, reduce filtration loss under high temperature and high pressure, inhibit hydration and expansion of shale, prevent well wall disintegration, hence have good lubricating properties, and it is a kind of multifunctional organic wellbore treatment agent with functions such as leakage sealing, disintegration prevention, lubrication, drag reduction, inhibition and so on. The recommended dosage is 1~4%.
